Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. She is most famous because of her part as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won the Emmy Award. Also, she is known for her performances in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was born as the only girl of her mother who was a homemaker and an executive in the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life in the company of four brothers. Though she had a aspiration to become a journalist, it wasn't until the time of her high school days that Delaney began to model. Following her move from New York City and gaining an experience working in commercials at New York did she achieve her dream of becoming aspiring court reporters.
